The City-Business Climate Alliance Programme
City-business partnerships have huge potential to reduce emissions on a greater scale than the city or individual businesses could manage alone, by maximising the assets of each actor and implementing the ambitious, coordinated local climate action needed to secure an inclusive, climate-safe future.
The City-Business Climate Alliance (CBCA) was launched in 2019 by C40 Cities, CDP and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) to support cities to better engage with businesses on local climate actions.
The CBCA programme offers tailored support and a Forum for leading cities, or leaders of local business networks, to exchange ideas on how cities can use their formal and informal powers to influence, regulate and collaborate with the private sector to achieve ambitious climate actions.
